Ant Plant - Myrmecodia NEW

Myrmecodia, also known as the ant plant, is an epiphytic native plant that has a symbiotic relationship with certain ant species which use the hollow body of the plant as a shelter and defend the plant from other insects.  Ants also provide nutrients to the plant through their waste, helping it to thrive.  This unique relationship is an example of the complex ways in which different species can interact with nature.
