Tillandsia araujei (ar-ah-OO-zhay) has thick, succulent pine-needle-like leaves and it is caulescent. It forms a large, attractive clump over time. The inflorescence is a bright salmon to rose and the flowers are white. It is normally grown hanging upside down or horizontally. It does well in any medium range of conditions.
