Balbisiana

This little lovely grows singly or in clusters with 15-30 leaves, is leathery and grayish in appearance because of its moisture-trapping scales.

At times it may become reddish in appearance with leaves slightly bulbous at the base, tapering and curved or twisted at the ends.

Floral bracts (5-20 mm long) bright red, with violet petals (5-30 flowers per plant). Time of flowering: especially early spring

Size: Approximately 7-9cm in length.
Sun exposure: Bright filtered light indoors or undercover outdoors.
Water requirement: Low–moderate.
Maintenance: Low.

Each living plant is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available.
