Tillandsia glabrior is related and similar looking to T. schiedeana. The leaves are shorter and can often be attractively secund as those are in the specimen in the photo. What's interesting about this plant is that, besides the bloom spike being red as in T. schiedeana, the flowers are ruby red instead of yellow and red is a rare color for Tillandsai flowers.
Sun exposure: Bright filtered light.
Water requirement: Low.
